Travelling bringing us closer or pushing us apart?

Continuing on the theme of love this month I thought I’d catch you guys up on whether being on the road 24:7 has been damaging for mine n Gs relationship…

We have at the time of writing spent 67 days, 10 hours and 24 minutes together with no break at all. I won’t lie, it took some getting used to for the both of us… We have fallen out over all sorts and everything that really wasn’t anything at all like who turned the air con off when its boiling hot! Once we had settled into life on the road we then had to adjust to spending every second of our life together. At the beginning due to my dramatic nature and G being my match in stubbornness it was interesting.

If it wasn’t for the amazing shared experiences we have had together then we might not have made it, but if it wasn’t for these experiences we wouldn’t be here at all so the fact we are currently drunkily watching a trippy film in Bali in bed while a storm rages outside with a huge grin on our faces I think we have made it. This isn’t a jaw dropping experience that I can instagram, but for us it’s more important (even though G is actually contemplating what he would choose between me and Bintang…) it proves that we can now be in each others company without the pretty things 24:7 and enjoy just that. Being together. We have survived the adjustment period and come through enjoying each other more than ever.

So if you’re ever worried about rushing in to something and how things may or may not pan out then stop. You’ll never know unless you go for it and for us ‘rushing in’ has been the best rush ever ☺️
